Looking at Puerto Vallarta Jalisco maybe five miles south.

On this blogger site one can click on all pictures except for the header above two times each time making them larger which is a feature I like because it gives you the ability to really look very close at all kinds of things not readily seen.

Butler Wash Ruins

This is a ruin seen some time ago and wanted to get close to it by coming up the drainage. Did that last week and this turned out to be one of the easiest climbs of several I did last week around Cedar Mesa in Utah.

The easy came after I quit thinking about the best way to get there as it was hard till then.

  1. Butler Wash. Two of the sweetest words in the English language. Love that trail.

  2. Did you know Teresa there is a ruin in the area that has a hallway inside that you can enter and walk down. The name escapes me but I MUST see and do this.

  4. Moon House in McLoyd's Canyon, probably. I haven't been, but a friend has. Unfortunately, you can even Google it and find the info. It's sure different than in the '90's when you had to rely on topo maps and ranger stations. It sounds like one fine hike and ruin, though. The folks at the Recapture Lodge in Bluff have always been good resources, too. Jim and Luann Hook, if they're still there.
