Looking at Puerto Vallarta Jalisco maybe five miles south.

On this blogger site one can click on all pictures except for the header above two times each time making them larger which is a feature I like because it gives you the ability to really look very close at all kinds of things not readily seen.

It's Tough For A Duck Around Here

Ran across this yesterday. It's not unusual at all to see where a bird has met it's demise when out and about.

I think this is from a Canadian goose. All there was here was feathers and an egg.

I believe this bird actually tried to nest here and the egg was actually layed here.

I did break this open as I was curious. Should have brought it home and ate it. These birds lay 3-8 eggs.
There was no signs of a nest and the river bottom is close by and  geese do not build nests in the open. Islands are good but there are none here.

I think this bird for whatever reason needed to lay an egg and was attacked almost immediately and was carried off. This egg was not ripped from the body.

Nature is harsh. In fact my curiosity is up here as this doesn't all make sense. I'm going back down there to look this over again. Fact of the matter is I've never seen a Canadian around here that I can recall.
