Looking at Puerto Vallarta Jalisco maybe five miles south.

On this blogger site one can click on all pictures except for the header above two times each time making them larger which is a feature I like because it gives you the ability to really look very close at all kinds of things not readily seen.

Big Blue

The fellow was nearing the end of his life. What a specimen and to me some of these photos are striking and when you zoom in on them it becomes even better. Plus this is my favorite color. That might have something to do with it.

  1. Something so small, simple, and fragile.
Yet so large, complicated, and durable.

    Man can never replicate nature.
We are in the never ending process of destroying it.

  3. The aptly named dragonfly is a noble creature. I have one that knows me, and follows me about in the garden eating the mosquitoes I scare up when I move the shrubbery aside.

He doesn't flee when I approach, and I haven't seen him follow others through the garden. I have nicknamed him "Blade" as he is a good vampire killer.

  4. Loved your comment Morgan. To tell the truth I really don't know much about these creatures. I can tell you the dragonfly's in West Africa were bigger and could do and did end over ends and that's a fact. Lightning bugs stayed on for a couple seconds.

    Thanks for stopping by.
