Looking at Puerto Vallarta Jalisco maybe five miles south.

On this blogger site one can click on all pictures except for the header above two times each time making them larger which is a feature I like because it gives you the ability to really look very close at all kinds of things not readily seen.

Places We've Been

I bought this vehicle fairly early this spring and have gone camping six times and gone for other rides as well. These pictures are examples of places from extreme NW Colorado to the SE of the state we have been. You may have seen some of these before.

Eventually as we move into the colder months there won't be much camping going on but intend to to something like a report/critique of how this vehicle has performed the good and bad. It's more good at this point for sure.

Would also like to add that this is the first post made since getting the computer back and it's the first time I've been able to upload pictures without 40-50% failure in doing so and I like that and hope it stays this way.

Also I'm in the process of categorizing my pictures which at this time there are maybe 25 and it takes a long time as some need to go several places. That will take a very long time.

I hope you enjoy some of these which are basically landscape pictures but I like the way this Element fits in. Something about the design that says it was supposed to be there.

End of July 2010 Colorado& Utah

It was a great weekend for camping and a bit of exploring. The weather couldn't have been much better. Here are some of the things seen.

Remember you can click  on these twice to make them huge.

I like this picture. There was a 360 view from here and I came back and stayed a second night. It's a bit trashed out and I can live with that.
Incredible evening and the stars were amazing as well.

You may have seen this before. Pintado Canyon. Carrot men 12 miles south of Rangely.

A horned toad. Drove right over him. Did know what it was and went back. He was good size. There will be a video up sometime at OTC and here as well.

In the town of Dinosaur. Where's Mama antelope?

I took a bunch of these and happy I came away with the few half decent ones that I did. Really different and I am tempted to go back to try again because these were so interesting and didn't do well at all.

This is not Mama.

Prairie dogs are no where close to being extinct

Taken at the cemetery in Meeker,CO.

This just happens to be the size gun my Dad used during WWII. 105MM  This is in the cemetary in Meeker as well.

Vandalism Sometimes

It seemed in some places there was quite a bit of trash in Pintado Canyon. Not everywhere but where the younger locals went to party. That's where I would have been.

Zoom in on this as it's hard to see. It was more writing and not carving that was prevalent. Bad in places but overall a cool place to explore without question.
Then there's the gun issue which was bad in places as well. Both types was much worse than the last time I visited this area.

I am glad I saw this before some shit had to destroy this lament to a beautiful women. Nicely done-not that old but real art as well.
These are called carrot men for obvious reasons.

Look real close for a bit of blue.

Sun Search Success

Less than a hundred miles down the road the elusive orb was found and warmth was had.

Same place as last week but saw a lot of other things and different campsite.

This field was so pretty the picture doesn't capture that.

The basic two holer with a pretty fancy door. Probably would still serve the purpose quite well.

Just about home and if you have this much snow around this time of year the weather is just a different breed of cat that is for damn sure.

It's time to move on sooner than later.

From Last Weekend Camping

Intend to do some type of a report on how this new vehicle works for me but I can say it did very well and the area around Rangely is interesting in the least.

Some of these are pretty good but had to rush this this morning because I keep falling asleep in the damn chair at night and never get it done.

The rock art is Fremont 900 to 1100 years old.
