These large black beetles are all over the place. Some may push an inch long. This one played dead when it got flipped on its back.
Quite a few of these roaming around as well. Seems a bit early.
I was actually holding this plant with a transparent spider on it who refused to look at the camera or hold still to have his picture taken.
Then there's Stretch who holds still real good.
The beetle just wanted you to rub its tummy.
ReplyDeleteHahaha...my fav is Stretch!
ReplyDeleteAll very nice, but I thought Stretch was too cute! :)

Yuk Yuk.
DeleteI guess so although there are animal entrails of some sort underneath the steps.
Great shots, so Stretch enjoys catnaps? :-))
ReplyDeleteThat and stretching Ed. You live very close?? I bet she would make a good road kat!
ReplyDeleteoh, I can see that spider! Your cat has the right idea once it gets too hot outside--time to relax and catch a few ZZZZ's :)
ReplyDeleteThat's cat and me are acting just about the same. Not moving much except in the morning. I may put the swamp cooler in and they it will get cool. At least the humidity makes it palatable - that is the lack of it.
DeleteI like that fuzzy moth. It actually looks cuddly -- as if a moth could be that. ...and I knew what you meant on the onion/garlic thing. It looks like both, I think.
ReplyDeleteHe does look like that. Thanks Annette!
DeleteStretch Rules!
ReplyDeleteThat he does even though it's a she. It's a really good kitty. Stretch is outside chewing an a baby rabbit as I type.
