I made it to Costa Rica and the town of Atenas easily. Took some pictures of where I'm staying. Went and picked up some groceries in town and tomorrow will walk in and look around a bit more. It's laid back and my hosts are very pleasant.
This flower is huge.
The house I'm staying in.
This is a small neighborhood equivalent of a 7-11 without the gas.

Beautiful. Looks wonderful and very tropical.
ReplyDeleteThat it is Susan. This time of year the humidity is pretty low as well.
DeleteThanks for the visit Susan and you've been added to the blogroll.
Ooooh maaaan. Beautiful! But, is there room for Ms. Cornfield in that bed? :) I've never been known for reticence.
ReplyDeleteNor I. A interesting thought as is good old plain companionship but this cornfield will not be the one.
DeleteGreen mixes well with other colors so well doesn't it.
Oooh wow! Those colors in the flowers are incredible!...and don't you just love the colors of the buildings and rooms??? In my neck of the woods everything is beige. It's called Johnson County Beige..hahaha! cept my house! The first pic is the best, but that vibrant yellow in the second from the last is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place! You are so lucky to be there and the flowers - wow amazing! Bet the little store is also a hoot!
ReplyDeleteYou will come back tan and well and ever so rested! Lucky you! Thanks for sharing with us!

Absolutely beautiful! I hope you keep posting pix of your stay in CR, because it's a trip I'm dying to make again in my lifetime.
ReplyDeleteAny local sites you take in, carry a camera along for the rest of us!
There's more coming for sure. camera is always with me. yesterday came away with not much and didn't post but this morning think I got a couple and am walking towards town later. Soon there will be an illustrative video as I think will give the picture a bit more meaning.
DeleteIn the town square and most places for that matter it's all about the family. Many things are not cheap. People make $2 an hour but in the stores people are spending.
I like Atenas. I'm feeling strange again and keeping pretty close.
Costa Rica is an awesome place to visit. Thanks for sharing your trip. I hope to see more photos.
ReplyDeleteYou will Eileen.
DeleteI am very happy that you made your way back to Costa Rica. Have fun! Keep the great pictures coming.
ReplyDeleteYo Kevin, make sure you read the post about your Wyoming brother and sisters. Not before you go to bed though.
